Ferrari Purosangue turned out to be a great sales hit. Two months after release, pre-orders were suspended due to high demand. Now there will be an opportunity to buy a car again, but it will not be so easy.
In the first quarter of 2023 Ferrari’s profit has increased by 27 percent in the same period in 2022which caused shares rose 5.6 percent. During the press conference, the CEO of the brand, Benedetto Vigna, announced that due to the great interest in the Ferrari Purosangue SUV, the company is ready to reopen orders for this model. However, people who decide to buy now will have to wait until at least 2026 for delivery. However, this should not reduce interest, because it is the most anticipated model of the brand for years.
Based on the promise of the Italian manufacturer, which said that SUV production will not exceed 20 percent of total sales, the exclusivity of this car will be maintained. Benedetto Vigna also assured that it will not extend the life cycle of the model, despite its popularity. This is important information for all those who have decided to buy a Ferrari Purosangue so far. Otherwise, the situation on the market may be a little disappointing.
Ferrari’s profit in the first quarter of 2023 is primarily the result of an increase in the number of units produced and delivered. During this period, the brand has provided 3,567 carsThat is 9.7 percent over a year ago. The main driving forces were the Portofino M, 296 GTB and 812 Competizione models. Higher results were also achieved due to the increased number of customizations, including the Tailor Made program. Operating Profit (EBITDA) in the first quarter it reached 537 million eurosa the amount was 37.6 percentwhich is a better result than expected. Thanks to this, the share price on the Milan Stock Exchange reached a record level of EUR 267.20.

Ferrari plans a stronger second quarter when deliveries of the Purosangue, a luxury V12 crossover, begin. At the same time, the brand is preparing to enter the electric car market, with its first BEV-powered car expected to debut in 2025. It is worth noting that Ferrari recorded a drop in sales of its engines, which was due to lower shipments to Maserati. The contract between the brands will expire at the end of the year.
