  • Production increases by about 20% to meet demand.
  • The Fiat Panda will remain in production at the Pomigliano d’Arco plant until at least 2027.

FIAT offers the Pandina. This special edition Fiat Panda pays homage to the first generation Panda with its introduction today, February 29, 2024. After all, it was published on the same date in 1980. The press conference of the Pandina took place at the plant in Pomigliano d’Arco, southern Italy, where FIAT has been manufacturing the Panda since 2011.

Olivier François, Chief Executive Officer of FIAT and International Chief Marketing Officer of Stellantis, said: “The new Pandina version also pays tribute to Italians who love the Fiat Panda. ‘Pandina’ is actually a nickname given to the car by Italians. I proudly present this special edition. Now I can also announce that FIAT will continue to manufacture the Panda in Pomigliano d’Arco until 2027. The Panda’s love story with Italy will continue for several years to come, thanks to the investments that have made the model the safest and most advanced Panda ever. And there is another reason to keep the Panda in the spotlight: FIAT has decided to increase production by almost 20% to meet customer demand. Fiat Panda is and remains the market leader in Italy and the segment leader in Europe. It is also the only Stellantis hybrid car in the A segment.”

With a long and happy history, the classic Fiat Panda has now been the market leader in Italy and Europe for 44 years. Fiat sold more than 8 million units in those years. The Panda is also a social car at its best in the Pandina special edition, with a combination of unique features: convenience, innovation and performance. This special edition takes its name from the enthusiasts who lovingly call their Panda ‘Pandina’. So it’s a tribute to their love for their little everyday partner.

The Pandina is equipped with new ADAS, a new digital cluster and a new steering wheel. This makes this special series the safest and most technologically advanced Panda ever. With major ADAS updates, FIAT has not looked for technology for technology’s sake, but for simple solutions to customer needs, as is typical for FIAT and Panda. In this way, FIAT has maintained the versatility and affordability of the iconic model.

The standard equipment of the Fiat Pandina includes new functions that can serve the driver in and out of the city. For example, lane assist helps the driver keep his vehicle in its lane, Advanced Emergency Braking helps prevent rear-end collisions and Drowsy Driver Detection warns the driver when he is tired and less alert. Traffic Sign Recognition is also included; which detects and recognizes traffic signs and displays them on the new 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Rear parking sensors provide additional functionality and make parking on busy city streets very easy. The new cruise control maintains the set speed from a speed of 30 km/h without the driver pressing the accelerator. Auto High Beam automatically adjusts the brightness to the traffic conditions, making night driving easier for the driver. Finally, six airbags complete the standard safety equipment. Many functions are controlled by a camera mounted on the interior mirror.

FIAT also equips the special Pandina with a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster with three image modes, and a new steering wheel. The Pandina also has a new 7-inch touchscreen DAB Radio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.TM.

The new white dashboard and seats with single logo and ‘Pandina’ logo, double yellow stitching, white details and Seaqual thread made from sustainable raw materials, fully traceable from marine waste are special design features in Fiat Pandina.

The look of the Fiat Pandina is enhanced by playful details, such as the small panda face on the fenders, yellow mirror caps, large panels with Pandina lettering and a ‘Pandina’ screen print on the third side window.

In addition to the existing body colors – Gelato White, Cinema Black, Passione Red and Italia Blue – Fiat Pandina is also available in the new Positano Yellow and in two-tone versions with a contrasting black roof.

The new Pandina special edition of the Fiat Panda will be available from this summer.
