Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will not provide further details in response to market speculation about a possible take. The FCA has previously stated that it has not contacted Great Wall Motors and has nothing to add, according to an official statement at the request of Italian stock market regulator CONSOB.

The FCA states that “from time to time we are approached about possible strategic transactions which we will evaluate according to the responsibilities of the stakeholders. However, the policy is not to comment on market speculation.”

The FCA has also said nothing about ongoing rumors that it would like to sell or possibly separate Alfa Romeo from Maserati. Such a deal could bring in at least $ 8.3 billion, according to the financial news agency Bloomberg. The FCA itself would have been reduced to the major market brands Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram the most suitable candidate for the acquisition or partnership that CEO Sergio Marchionne would most like.
