Cadillac LMDh “Project GTP” takes to the track for the first time: WEC will debut in Hypercar and IMSA in 2023.
Cadillac has also started its “Project GTP” development program, an LMDh intended to race in IMSA and in the WEC in Hypercar from 2023.

Cadillac LMDh takes 5.5-liter DOHC V8 powerplant, similar but not identical to that employed by Corvette on the C8.R. The engine is connected to a standard Bosch-Williams hybrid system, mounted on the rear axle, and like all LMDhs the car is 2-wheel drive.
Cadillac will present a total of 1 car in the WEC in 2023 with Chip Ganassi Racing, while in IMSA there will be at least two cars, one from Action Express and the other from Cadillac Racing.
The joint first tests at Sebring next week
IMSA has scheduled a joint test series next week at Sebring, which will see the presence of the Porsche 963 and Cadillac, and possibly also the Acura LMDh which is expected to start testing soon. BMW will start its tests at the end of July instead.
