Rüsselsheim, April 2024 – Alfa Romeo closes the first quarter of the year with strong growth in Germany. Despite the good start of 2023, the number of registrations continued to increase. In its latest figures, the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) shows an increase of 20.8 percent for the Italian brand in the period from January to March compared to the previous year.(1). This makes Alfa Romeo one of the clear winners in the German passenger car market, which, according to KBA, grew by only 4.2 percent compared to the first quarter of 2023. Alfa Romeo cites the continued increase in demand for the brand, offers competition and dedicated traders as factors of growth.

In the last quarter, customer enthusiasm once again spread across the entire model range. All models were able to increase compared to the same period last year. Alfa Romeo Tonale increased registrations by 24 percent compared to the previous year, SUV model Stelvio by 8 percent and sports sedan Giulia was registered 29 percent more times than in the same period last year. The leader of the local brand was the Alfa Romeo Tonale. It accounted for almost half (45 percent) of Alfa Romeo registrations. The second most popular model was the Alfa Romeo Giulia (29 percent), closely followed by the Alfa Romeo Stelvio (24 percent).

The traditional Italian brand hopes to achieve further growth through the introduction of the fourth model. In a few days, on April 10, the new Alfa Romeo Milano will celebrate its world premiere. In the future, the compact model will provide an attractive, sporty alternative to most European cars and will also offer a full electric range for the first time.(2).
