The Fisker Ocean is now on sale at a very low price

History repeats itself. Once again, Henrik Fisker’s dream – to have a successful car brand – seems to have collapsed. There have been reports for a while that the EV brand is in dire straits and this is now confirmed by the huge discount on the Fisker Ocean.

Earlier this month it was reported that Fisker is temporarily halting production. The company is eagerly looking for an injection of capital and sat down with a major player in the automotive world. It whispered in the corridor that it was a Nissan. It doesn’t really matter who it is, because the party in question seems to have withdrawn.

Big discount on Fisker Ocean

In a desperate move, the EV brand is now offering a deep discount on the 2023 model year Fisker Ocean in the US. The entry-level model drops from $39,000 (about 36,000 euros) to $25,000. That is equal to 23,100 euros. That’s even cheaper than the Citroën ë-C3.

Other versions are also dropping in price. The flagship model was previously priced at $61,500 (56,800 euros) in the showroom, but can now be had for $37,500 (34,600 euros). In addition, depending on the brand, other models of the Fisker Sea are also loaded with many expensive options.

Is this affordable EV worth buying?

It is not yet known if the Dutch market will also receive a similar discount. The question, however, is whether you should want to buy a car from a manufacturer that is already exhibiting convulsions. If a brand is in decline, it may be difficult to find upgrades or spare parts.

So you are taking a big risk by buying a cheap Fisker Ocean now. At the same time there is information ‘high risk, high reward’ it’s not free. If you’re betting that Fisker will survive this tough period, then you (as an American) have bought a lot of EVs for your money.
