Volkswagen Taigun GT Line and GT Sport Plus Launched in India, Local Prices

After launching the latest version of the Taigun GT Sport Plus, and the Taigun GT Line last month, German automaker Volkswagen has finally launched both the variants in India. The tech-packed SUV has been launched at a starting price of Rs 14.08 lakh (ex-showroom), while the top model goes up to Rs 19.74 lakh. (old showroom).

What’s new?

The latest variants come with the latest technology and boast a long list of robust features. The company has also incorporated design elements from the exterior to make it sportier and bolder in parts.

Both the models also get upgrades on the inside as well, making them unique compared to the regular models.

Taigun GT Sport Plus

The GT Sport Plus trim comes with an attractive design from the outside. It gets the company’s signature grille at the front, with a chrome finish logo. The LED headlamp setup with stylish LED DRLs, black roof rails, gloss black B-pillar, and black ORVMs, make it pleasing to the eyes.

The car now rides on black Cassino 17-inch wheels, featuring red front brakes on each side. Under the hood, it is given the same 1.5-liter TSI EVO engine, which is mated to a 7-speed DSG and 6-speed manual transmission.

Taigun GT Line

Talking about GT Line, it is dedicated to customers who want good performance and beauty from their cars. From the outside, the GT line follows the same footsteps as the GT Sport Plus, with the same road look and front fascia. However, the badges at both ends separate the cars from each other.

It uses a small 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine. This unit produces a maximum power of 113 bhp and 178 Nm. The powertrain is mated to a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission
