This Is The First Koenigsegg Jesko Delivered To The UK And Its Key Is Out Of This World

Koenigsegg has just delivered the first Jesko in the UK. It is one of 125 examples to be made. A car key is a work of art and can do a magic trick!

The car that has just arrived from the Angelholm, Sweden, factory in London is chassis 7382, the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack painted in Chilly Red. Low-slung and muscular, the hypercar looks like a rocket on wheels.

Jesko’s key is from another world. It comes in carbon fiber tubes with stamped aluminum tips, bearing the signature of the company’s founder, Christian von Koenigsegg. Inside, there is an aluminum fob holder that supports the key itself. The key is in the Desiato leather, which matches the car’s interior.

A button on the buttons opens the frunk lid, hood lid, and dihedral synchs-helix doors. This is called Ghost Mode, and makes the car look like it’s from the Transformers series.

The hood covers the rear 5.0-liter turbocharged crank V8, which produces 1,600 horsepower (PS1,622) and 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) on E85 biofuel. The regular gasoline trims it down to 1,280 horsepower (1,298 PS) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm).

The Jesko Attack we have here has a dry weight of 3,131 pounds (1,420 kg), which is the same weight as the Porsche 911 GT3 RS: 3,153 pounds (1,430 kg). But the Koenigsegg comes with over 1,000 more horsepower than the Porsche. The V8 is mated to an in-house innovative nine-speed LST (Light Speed Transmission).

The front part stores the frunk, the space you can’t store the roof when you push it out of the car. The cooling system doesn’t leave much room there.

The car rides on 20-inch aluminum wheels at the front and 21-inch units at the rear with 2 Michelin Sport Cup tires.

What draws all the attention on board is the instrument cluster mounted on the carbon fiber steering wheel. However, regardless of the position of the steering wheel, the image stays the same, so the driver will not need to twist and turn to read it.

Another cool feature on board is the optional analog G-Force meter. When the engine starts, it sounds like an explosion. Revving the engine is like fireworks.

Koenigsegg will only build 125 Jeskos, at a rate of 40 to 50 per year, which is a significant improvement over the 25 Agera RSs and 80 Regeras that the Swedish automaker built and sold. Apparently, the base price of $3 million plus tax doesn’t scare away customers. Unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Jesko reportedly sold out before the show ended.
