Starting next year, Ford will supply the E-Transit with a large battery with a capacity of 89 kWh and a range of 402 kilometers. The manufacturer announced this today.

The current electric Transit has a 67 kWh battery. According to the brand, the larger battery is good for a range of up to 402 km, compared to 317 km for the current model.

The battery in the E-Transit can also be charged quickly and the maintenance period has been extended from one year to two years with no distance limits. Ford is targeting customers who drive a lot on the highway with the new version, the importer reports.

Transit is not the leader in range, the recently introduced Nissan Interstar-e reaches up to 460 km.

SEBA-subsidy

Starting today, entrepreneurs can also apply for a SEBA grant for the purchase of an electric vehicle.

To reduce charging time, Ford has doubled the maximum AC charging capacity from 11 to 22 kW, which it claims makes it possible to fully charge the battery in less than six hours. In addition, the fast charging power has been increased from 115 to 180 kW, allowing the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent capacity in 28 minutes, Ford said.

The new version, with a choice of 19 model types, can be ordered from the last quarter of this year. Deliveries are expected to begin in early 2025.
