The Last Owner Only Put 100 Miles On This Low Mileage, Like-New 1986 Buick Grand National.

After a boring year that brought nothing new to the table, the 1986 Buick Grand National got a welcome upgrade in the engine department.

The car manufacturer came up with a modified engine upgrade, which allowed the change of intercooler especially to get more performance. The Grand National now made 235 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque.

Despite the engine upgrade, sales did not increase significantly, and only 5,512 units were produced in 1986.

One of them landed online not too long ago, courtesy of Napoli Classics. Low mileage Buick it’s in amazing shape, comes with almost everything in tip-top shape despite having three owners since it got rid of the wiring harness.

It is a waste of time to discuss the condition of the car, as the pictures speak for themselves, but it is important to know that the car has never been restored. The first owner purchased the Grand National from Reese Motors in July of 1986. However, the last owner only put 100 miles on the car, finally deciding to let it go.

The Grand National is in excellent condition and is 99% original. The only change is the exhaust system, and the previous owner installed it for unknown reasons. The spec sheet includes power windows, door locks, air conditioning, and an AM/FM radio system. The garage doesn’t share more specifics, but from the look of the car, it’s safe to assume everything is working correctly (you still have to check everything in person).

The car rolled off the assembly lines with a 3.8-liter turbocharged V6 engine, and the engine starts, runs, and drives beautifully. Chances are, though, that you won’t be keeping it on the road for very long, as the next owner will probably want to keep the storage and avoid putting too many miles on the clock. The odometer shows just 17,300 miles (27,800 km), and they are all original.

As if the low-mileage, beautifully preserved Grand National wasn’t enough, the car is also sold with original documentation, including the build sheet, owner’s manual, warranty book and dealer’s invoice. It’s almost a time capsule whose place is in a warm garage.

As anyone would expect, a rare Buick in near-showroom condition can’t come cheap. garage he wants $59,000 for a Grand National, and while prospects are a bit optimistic for a 1986 Buick, the low miles and 99% original shape make it a very desirable Grand National that shouldn’t struggle to find a new home.

If you want to see this Buick Grand National in person, you can find it in Milford, Connecticut. You shouldn’t need a trailer to get it home, but considering the low miles on the clock, you might want to tow the car to save miles.
