Mud fuel: Ford Transit Custom as a bad road camper by Irmscher

Ford’s latest car is already available in all kinds of shapes from the factory. In addition to the ‘Transit Custom’ order version and ‘Tourneo custom‘ with up to nine seats, there will also be a camp under the name’Special Travel Nugget‘. With a little luck you can rely on a solid one ‘Trail’ Edition with four-wheel drive, because Ford also had one in its previous generation Custom Nugget… But it probably won’t be as cool as this Irmscher creation.

For the brave do it yourself

This is an Irmscher Custom Spirit, a Transportation Custom that has been fully modified with a German tuner. For example, the width of its track increased significantly, resulting in wheel arches that were typical of Ford ‘MS-RT’ version to be able to watch. Inside you’ll find new 18-inch wheels that have all-terrain tires for the occasion and the whole thing also stands a few centimeters higher on its feet than usual. Ford must be able to handle the roughest terrain and so we suspect that Irmscher has started from a four-wheel drive diesel version. Additionally, the rangefinder covers the van in a green color with wild sticker work, along with a new grille and a large roof rack.

As such, the Custom Spirit doesn’t have the kind of folding roof that Ford’s full Nugget camper will have, and Irmscher’s design also promises to be more primitive in other areas. The German hasn’t shared any pictures of the interior yet, but with the tailgate open it looks like you should be working with an expandable kitchen unit and a fold-up bed on top. This Custom Spirit will also be a respectable alternative for the adventurous planner… And for the do-it-yourselfer. Irmscher doesn’t want to say yet if it will ever sell this creation as a ready-made model, but you should be able to find almost all the individual components in their store.
