Ford F-150 Electric: other discounts for 2023 models, announced prices for 2024

Ford this week began shipping 2024 models of its F-150 pickup truck, including the all-electric F-150, to dealers. To sell the remaining 2023 inventory more quickly, the manufacturer has cut prices further in the US and Canada.

With us, the base version of the Pro remains at $61,395 (including miscellaneous costs) with a 98 kWh battery and at $77,395 with a 131 kWh battery. However, the XLT version now costs $63,395 or $79,395, depending on the battery option, thanks to an $8,000 delivery discount.

The same reduction applies to the Lariat, resulting in a new price of $74,395 or $93,995 depending on the battery. Ditto for the top-of-the-line Platinum, sold for $111,274 including federal luxury tax.

Only the F-150 Lightning Pro and XLT with the 98 kWh battery are eligible for the $5,000 federal subsidy. Only the former qualifies for the $7,000 Quebec subsidy, because the Roulez vert program is based on the manufacturer’s retail price (MSRP) and does not take into account delivery discounts.

Note that Ford used a similar strategy earlier in the year with its 2023 Mustang Mach-E electric crossover, but in turn, it was the MSRPs that were lowered.

What’s new for 2024?

Now, looking at the 2024 F-150 Electric in Canada, some changes in layout and pricing have been made. MSRP for the Pro and XLT trims with the smaller battery jump $995 to $59,995 and $69,995, respectively. Once again, these are the only ones eligible for the $5,000 federal grant and the second is too expensive to qualify for the $7,000 provincial grant.

Ford is keeping the Pro version with a larger battery for the fleet for 2024. Its MSRP is $77,995.

As for the other 131 kWh F-150 Electric, we get the new Flash version for $86,995 excluding fees. This is a response to the needs of many consumers who wanted a more complete and more modern entry-level XLT model – or, conversely, a well-equipped but more affordable pickup truck. On the menu: BlueCruise 1.2 hands-free driving technology, 15.5-inch touchscreen, Bang & Olufsen eight-speaker sound system, wireless phone charging, rear tailgate, all towing technologies plus heat pump and the ability to add batteries. .

Next come the Lariat and Platinum versions, which are also powered by a 131 kWh battery, with MSRPs of $99,595 and $112,495 respectively.

There’s also the F-150 Lightning Platinum black, a special edition at the top of the range that stands out with its all-black exterior – a first for a Ford pickup truck. Also worth noting are the 22-inch wheels in matte black, Nirvana black leather seats and an aluminum number plate in two different locations, and production across the North American market is limited to 2,000 units. Canadian pricing is not yet known, however.
