Dacia Spring is officially in Poland. The price list is shocking again

It was supposed to be the cheapest electric car in Poland. And it was. In 2021, the Romanian company managed to keep the price below 80,000. zlotys. But when we welcomed 2023 with a new price list and a price above PLN 100,000. for a small and not very modern electric car from China (Dacia Spring is produced in Shiyan, China), it was not very pleasant. More than 100 thousand PLN for a small, cheap and very standard car with a small engine (33 kW of power) and a standard type (up to 230 km in the WLTP cycle)? Unthinkable.

At the same time, Dacia has competition from France (Citroen e-C3), which is only a few thousand more expensive. PLN, but it is clearer, stronger and more modern. So what’s left? Introduce a new car to the market (or rather modernize it significantly, because the technology and platform remain unchanged). And this is the first Dacia Spring number two in Poland. And once again the price list is amazing. This time positive.

It’s hard to believe, but the new model is several thousand zlotys cheaper than its predecessor. The difference is huge. And what does it look like in detail?

New Dacia Spring – car prices for the Polish market

• Dacia Spring Essential Electric 45 – 76,9 tys. zlotys
• Dacia Spring Expression Electric 65 – PLN 86,000 zlotys
• Dacia Spring Extreme Electric 65 – PLN 90.6 thousand zlotys

There are three equipment versions to choose from (Essential, Expression and Extreme), two drive versions (45 HP and 65 HP) and six body colors. Those who decide to do so should carefully compare the hardware offerings. The difference is very important. What special attention should you pay?

A typical car radio? Nothing! Connect your smartphone

You won’t find a typical car radio in the cheap Essential (with a weak 45 HP engine). Instead, there’s a smartphone holder and a handy app to control the built-in radio receiver and two-speaker microphone. In the basic version, you have to control the mirrors and rear windows manually (but at least the front windows are electrically operated). There is no air conditioning.

You can rely on manual air conditioning in the Expression variant (only available with an engine with more power than 65 HP). You’ll also recognize it by its painted door handles, two-tone upholstery, black door stickers and larger wheels (15″ steel rims instead of 14″). Always something.

Only in the top-of-the-line Extreme version can you count on a Media Nav Live multimedia radio with a 10-inch screen, electric mirrors, electric rear windows and dual V2L charging. Automatic air conditioning? It is not available even in the most expensive version.

Like its predecessor, the new Dacia Spring arrives in showrooms from Renault plants in China. Orders can now be placed with merchants. The waiting time is not too long. The first delivery of the cars is scheduled for September 2024. So it’s not bad.
