No one likes or hates all current BMW models – they are so diverse that you can always find something to like or hate between the M2, M3, M4, XM, iX, X2, 7 Series, X7, i7 ideas, right?

Some don’t appreciate the Minecraft-like style of the M2, others are used to the ‘double-coffin’ kidney grilles of the 4 Series, M3, and M4, and few even think of the split style of the XM headlights. , 7 Series, or i7 and X7 could be good, at least in an unusual way. At the very least, there’s something for everyone, including more subtle models like the 3 Series or the new 5 Series.

So, it’s no surprise that the rumor mill still loves the Bavarians, and even the creative world of digital automotive content creators still thinks that grabbing BMW’s sporty DNA is a good idea when trying to revive something important. It seems they didn’t learn from the experience with the ‘Supra boys’ – that part of the community that totally rejected Toyota using the Z4 roadster template to reintroduce the beloved Supra (now the GR Supra).

One such example is Jim, a virtual artist better known as sir 8 on social media, who likes to obsess over all things CGI from the automotive world, and BMW’s M2 recently impressed Buick. He’s a big fan of all things GM and Ford as he owns a 1986 Buick Regal T-type as well as a 2001 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning, so he’s not too far off from the idea of a revival based on their vintage models.

This time, though, even Mr. Pixel is not completely satisfied with his epiphany to restore the Buick Regal Grand National, which was part of the second generation lineup from 1978 to 1987 (the GN appeared in 1982). Well, he used a BMW M2 that was topped with a single wide radiator grille and vertical bars, gray and gray paint with red stripes on top and bottom, along with retro-styled ‘1987’ Grand National wheels. – which is actually the only part of his design that he really likes.

However, some of its biggest fans appreciate the unofficial design project – at least they like it better than the original BMW M2 it’s based on! However, even if the design is nothing to write home about, the interior will certainly not disappoint. That’s because BMW outfitted its second-generation G87 M2 with all six inline models — including a 3.0-liter S58B30T0 turbocharged mill mated to a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission that goes up to 453. hp and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque to the rear wheels.
