( – The seventh-generation Ford Mustang landed with a bang today and includes a new family of pony cars. Very exciting horse-drawn carriages, that’s for sure. In addition to the coupe and convertible in EcoBoost and GT trim, there will also be an all-new Dark Horse.

The Ford Mustang Dark Horse S is basically a stripped down version of the street legal Dark Horse. We’re told it’s designed for the “weekend track day lover.”

To reduce unnecessary weight, the Blue Oval is removing all unnecessary parts and components, installing an FIA-approved roll cage, racing seats and steering wheel, as well as safety nets and a fire extinguishing system.

For further modifications 2023 Mustang Dark Horse S trim includes a central panel with buttons and switches for headlights, wipers, turn signals, rain lights and mirror adjustments. There is also a pit lane speed limiter and an optional passenger seat.

The detailed track package also includes a data display system and new external quick-release attachments for the bonnet, an adjustable rear wing, front and rear tow hooks and a more powerful exhaust system.

The Dark Horse R has performance wheels and a larger tank

Ford installs the same wheels you’ll find on a stock Dark Horse. Behind it, however, the big brakes ensure speed damage. On top of that, the Dark Horse S Multimatic DSSV damper. Vehicle height and camber values ​​can be adjusted.

The opening photo at the top of the article shows the Mustang Dark Horse R. It has all the goodies of the Dark Horse S, but it also gets Ford Performance Parts wheels, a bigger tank for more range, and custom welds. It also comes straight with all the paperwork for proper racing use, while the Dark Horse S is the ultimate track day toy.
