2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E: Canadian price and details

The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E is coming to the market in Canada with significant improvements in range and charging speed. The electric crossover especially benefits from a long-range battery.

2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E – what’s new?

The electric crossover lineup welcomes a new member for 2024, the Rally variant. This variant is designed to play off-paved roads, otherwise off-track.

In terms of capacity, the 2024 Mustang Mach-E has a modified and lighter rear engine, a modification that, along with other technical modifications, allows the car to travel greater distances on a single charge.

Versions with a standard 72 kWh battery can now reach 402 km for the powered variant and 370 km with all-wheel drive. For models with a 98.8 kWh battery, the range increases to 515 km and 483 km respectively. The Mustang Mach-E GT has a range of 451 km, while the new Rally option offers 426 km on a single charge.

Then the model can be charged faster than before. The SUV charges nearly 20 percent faster with the DC Fast Charging system, allowing drivers to charge the vehicle from 10 to 80 percent in about 36.2 minutes, 8.8 minutes less than previous models. Standard batteries charge from 10 to 80 percent in 32.3 minutes, reducing recharge time by 5.7 minutes compared to the first Mustang Mach-E.

Separately, Ford highlighted improvements to the Mustang Mach-E lineup since its launch in 2021. Here are the increases for the 2024 model year, as estimated by the EPA.

– Mustang Mach-E Select 2024 (standard battery and rear wheel drive: 434 km (+32 km)
– Mustang Mach-E Premium 2024 (extended battery and rear-wheel drive: 547 km (+32 km)
– Mustang Mach-E GT 2024 : 467 km (+16 km)
– Mustang Mach-E Rally 2024 : 426 km (new model)

Ford also notes that drivers of their electric vehicles can now access more than 15,000 Tesla Superchargers in North America thanks to the adapter, available free of charge to those registered with Ford’s BlueOval network before June 30.

Prices (MSRP) for various configurations of the 2024 Mustang Mach-E have been adjusted to reflect these improvements, with an average increase of between $1,000 and +$3,000 compared to the previous year, following discounts offered on 2023 models.
