The Ford Ranger in “Limited” and “Wildtrak” versions is ready for use: Europe’s best-selling platform truck will be launched in spring 2023. The price of the Ford Ranger Limited with a 6-speed manual transmission starts at 52,467 euros. The Ranger Wildtrak starts with a 6-speed automatic for an output of 56,513 euros. Cars can now be ordered from dealers.
Ford Ranger with diesel engines only
More than half of all customers in Germany chose the current generation Wildtrak. All versions can connect trailers weighing up to 3.5 tonnes.
Ford offers these two variants only with diesel engines. On one side there is a 170 hp cylinder (like a single turbo with 170 hp, like a Wildtrak biturbo with 205 hp). Second, there is a 3.0-liter six-cylinder unit that inspires 240 hp and is always combined with permanent all-wheel drive.
Six driving programs are available for pickup: “Normal”, “Eco”, “Slippery”, “Mud”, “Sand” and “Trailer” with automatic transmission. These programs manage, for example, the engine response, automatic switching characteristics or ESP and traction control.
Ford Ranger: Classic Lush accessories
Ford offers many assistance and safety systems as standard for a platform truck: Lane Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Reverse Parking Assist and other features such as optional Blind Spot Assist and Cross Traffic Alert and trailer monitoring.
The Ford Ranger Limited comes standard with 2-zone automatic air conditioning and a heated multifunction steering wheel. The exterior mirrors are electrically heated, adjustable and folding and have integrated indicators and courtesy lights. The headlights and taillights use LED technology.
Ford Ranger Wildtrak looks solid: Standard roof rails, sports bar and engine guard and tank made of solid steel. In the interior of the Wildtrak, leather seat covers, sports leather steering wheel, ambient lighting and a black headliner are used.
