To participate, you must own a Tesla from 2008 or have a lease. However, the discount can also be transferred to other people in the household – for example your spouse.

This can save a total of up to 14,000 US dollars (13,100 euros), calculates Ford Authority. And the portal has also identified a potential customer for this offer and writes: “For those tired of waiting for Cybertruck, this could be a solid alternative.”

Sluggish sales and quality problems

Sales of the first U.S. automaker to go fully electric have languished until now. The manufacturer recently reduced production volumes and laid off two-thirds of the workforce from the Rogue Electric Vehicle Center. In January, Ford cut weekly production in half from 3,200 vehicles to 1,600. In February there was a temporary suspension of deliveries of the F-150 Electric due to quality problems.

The F-150 Lightning Pro offers a range of around 380 km, 377 kW (452 ​​hp) of power, all-wheel drive and a 98 kWh battery.
