The last Chrysler 300C rolls off the assembly line

This nameplate was originally introduced in 1955 and then reborn in 2005. However, as it ages on the market, the Chrysler 300 will bow at the end of the 2023 model year. The last 300C left the assembly plant in Brampton, Ontario, last Friday, December 8. .

The page of history turns

We learned this weekend, through a press release from Stellantis, that the very last 2023 Chrysler 300C rolled off the manufacturer’s line on Friday, December 8, 2023. The last sported a color called velvet red. It should be noted that the 300C version made a comeback in 2023, after two years of absence from the 300 range. Its production was limited to 2,000 models for the US market and 200 for the Canadian market.

For the rest of the 300 series, production will end by December 31, 2023, according to information received from the manufacturer. The page of history will be turned at Chrysler for a name that was founded in 1955. Historically, 2005 marked the return of the rear-wheel drive tablet with the HEMI engine under the hood of a better version.

More efficient voting

For Chrysler, the 2023 300C was the best version of the 300 series and marked the end of this model. Powered by a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine that develops 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque, it’s the best pickup in recent years. Additionally, the 2023 Chrysler 300C features Brembo-branded 4-piston red brake calipers, a limited-slip differential with a 3.09:1 ratio, active suspension and an active exhaust system. Visually, the performance sedan adds black accents and a tri-color 300C badge that pays homage to the 1957 model.

At this point, Stellantis doesn’t appear to be reusing the 300 plate for the new powertrain as the manufacturer plans to do with the Challenger. So we won’t see this name again, at least for a while. The Chrysler brand will launch its first electric car in 2025 and intends to release an electric car range in 2028.
