The Nissan Formula E team takes the podium at the first Misano E-Prix

Nissan System E The team is doing everything possible to build on the strong results of the previous races. The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship travels to the Misano Marco Simoncelli World Circuit for races 6 and 7 of Season 10.

Oliver Rowland performed well in Diriyah, São Paulo and the team’s home race in Tokyo, with two pole positions and three consecutive podium finishes. That’s why the team goes to the first Misano E-Prix with confidence.

Although the Italian circuit will certainly present a new challenge, the team has shown that it has good speed. Sacha Fenestraz also had good speed in Tokyo. During the race he climbed at least nine places and almost finished in the points.

The classic Misano circuit has been slightly modified for Formula E, especially in the first sector and with the addition of a chicane instead of a fast right corner on the second circuit. This has created a long circuit of 3.381 kilometers that challenges drivers and teams in a different way than other circuits. Often the high speed on the fourteen turn circuit provides many opportunities to pass and energy management will play a big role.

The weekend on the Adriatic coast also features the FP0 session, which gives young drivers the opportunity to get to know Formula E cars. Caio Collet, reserve driver and simulator for the Nissan Formula E Team, gets his first practical experience in the Nissan e- 4ORCE 04 during that FP0 period.

Track action begins with qualifying on Saturday and Sunday at 10.20am and the E-Prix will take place at 3pm.

Sacha Fenestraz, driver of the Nissan Formula E Team: “For me the beginning of the season was difficult. As a team we had a difficult time in the first two races, but to a large extent we have solved that and the pace is better. I made a mistake and because the field Formula E is close, it cost me some good opportunities but we are enjoying our current race pace. The Misano circuit looks interesting. We expect energy management to be a challenge and that will not make it easy this weekend.
