Formula 1: Ferrari before the monster plan – Verstappen looks close

Race after race, Formula 1 drivers hope to finally beat Max Verstappen and Red Bull. So far only Carlos Sainz has achieved this this year. However, only because the Dutchman had an engine failure.

To close the gap to the world champion team, other top teams need financial support. Ferrari can now get it. The Formula 1 team is facing a very good deal.

Formula 1: Ferrari before the hammer deal

From next year, Ferrari will not only have a new driver in Formula 1 with Lewis Hamilton, but will also get a new main sponsor. As “SportBusiness” reports, Hewlett-Packard (HP) is about to conclude a contract with the Scuderia.

If the deal goes through, HP will be the first major sponsor of a traditional racing team since the 2021 season. According to the report, Ferrari also stands to make a lot of money. The deal should be similar to the sponsorship agreement between Red Bull and Oracle. It is currently the most profitable in Formula 1. Red Bull will receive 700 million dollars for five years.

A similar amount is available for Ferrari, which could be particularly important given the drivers’ contracts. With Hamilton’s Ferrari contract said to be in the region of €100 million, an agreement with HP as the new main sponsor will ease that burden.

Can Ferrari close the gap on Red Bull?

Ferrari will hope to use this huge income to close the gap on Max Verstappen and Red Bull in Formula 1. The Austrian team is hard to beat. But with the financial possibilities there are great opportunities to make great progress in the development of cars.
