This week in four-wheeler car news, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. unveiled its Brezza CNG with dual fuel technology, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. launched the all-new Verna, BMW teased its i5 electric vehicle, and Toyota Kirloskar Motor unveiled the price of its Innova Crysta.

Maruti Suzuki’s new Brezza CNG is the first of its kind in India to feature dual fuel technology. This technology allows users to switch between CNG and petrol modes with a single push of a button. The model is powered by a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine with a peak power of 105 PS and peak torque of 138 Nm. It also comes with a host of safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and speed alert system.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd. launched the all-new Verna with a 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and come with a host of features such as airbags, ABS, hill-start assist, rear parking sensors, and electronic stability control. The petrol model has a peak power of 115 PS and peak torque of 144 Nm, while the diesel model has a peak power of 115 PS and peak torque of 250 Nm.

BMW teased its i5 electric vehicle, which is expected to be launched by the end of 2021. The vehicle is expected to be powered by a battery pack that can provide a range of up to 500 km on a single charge. It will also feature a range of semi-autonomous driving technologies such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous emergency braking.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has revealed the price of its Innova Crysta range. The range starts at ₹16.26 lakhs (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹24.33 lakhs (ex-showroom). The range is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol and a 2.4-litre diesel engine. It also comes with a host of safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and speed alert system.
