Skoda to unveil Gran Turismo 7 video game supercar

Škoda does not offer a few models with a “sporty” appeal in its range. The Fabia RS hasn’t been around for long but the Octavia RS, a proper family car, is still available and has even been bumped up to 265 horsepower while skipping the recently sold plug-in hybrid version.

From there to thinking of a large Skoda car, there is a step that we certainly do not dare to take. The Czech brand of the Volkswagen group is not interested in playing in this field, leaving Porsche, Lamborghini and Audi to enter the categories of more powerful and efficient sports cars.

Skoda, however, will follow the “Gran Turismo Vision” exercise, which consists of virtually (and also in reality) imagining a supercar that can be driven in the video game Gran Turismo 7. After brands like Bugatti, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Porsche, Mercedes-AMG, Alpine and even Audi, the quiet division of the Volkswagen group are preparing a special car for the sport.

It will make its official debut on April 24th at 18 pm, showing a photo that shows the current super-powered car. “This all-wheel drive combines elements of the Škoda 1100 OHC Spider from 1957 with the modern elements of Škoda’s “Modern Solid” design,” reads the official press release.
