Daniel Ricciardo expresses desire to avoid McLaren’s problems with Red Bull’s new chassis.

The Honey Badger said that, with the return to his old car, his performance improved once again. Therefore, Daniel Ricciardo admitted to having doubts about the different chassis, as some did not give good results for years. Ricciardo wanted to address these doubts by testing the new RB chassis.

Ricciardo has been performing consistently well in 2024. He recently claimed that the Australian driver approached the start of the Japanese Grand Prix under caution, causing his crash on lap 1. Therefore, the 34-year-old driver has struggled to maximum capacity. from his car. So, the new VCARB-01 chassis could do wonders for Daniel Ricciardo.

The Australian driver expressed his interest in testing a different chassis for the car in the upcoming race in China. Daniel Ricciardo believes that this will give him peace of mind. This way, the 34-year-old driver won’t question the car as the reason for his recent decline in performance.

“I am eager because this will give me peace of mind and I can say, ‘ok’, I have removed this doubt,” said Daniel Ricciardo.

The Australian driver needs to establish himself as a top driver at RB if he wants to continue racing for Red Bull next season.
