Diamonds are a girl’s best friend and gold is this perfect look for Jesko, it seems. Koenigsegg is building 125 Jesko models and one of them is made of carbon fiber and 24 carat gold.

This mid-engine prototype has left the Gripen Atelier of the Koenigsegg Campus in Angelholm, Sweden, in late 2023. It sports Koenigsegg’s signature touch of 24-karat gold leaf accents, spread across the exposed carbon bodywork. Gold covers the front fascias, the wing mirror sleeves, the company logo on the hood, the skylights that appear on the side skirts, and on the rear wing tips.

The Swedish company says that this variant can decorate a good dinner or rule the track by breaking records. And it seems ready for both. It is not the first time for the brand to build a car with gold elements. There are also gold strips running on the front hood and roof.

They also sold the Agera RS, pre-ordered by real estate mogul Manny Khoshbin. At the time, he asked for a clear carbon fiber body with gold accents. The Los Angeles-based businessman and car collector revealed that he paid $2.2 million for the car. But just five months after it was handed over, he sold it for almost double the price: $4.1 million.

Jesko was officially launched in 2019 as a replacement for Agera. Regardless of trim, the hypercar is powered by the same 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, which produces 1,280 horsepower (1,298 horsepower) and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque on regular gasoline and 1,600 horsepower (1,62 horse) ) and 1,106 lb-ft (1,500 Nm) on E85 biofuel.

All resources are routed to both axles through a nine-speed automatic box that Koenigsegg calls ‘Lightning Speed Transmission.’

The two-door targa top is planned for production of just 125 examples, with 40 to 50 units produced each year. All construction spaces have been sold since March 2019, when Koenigsegg presented at the Geneva Motor Show. The first car was delivered in June 2023.

All Jesko versions are powered by a 5.0-liter turbocharged V8 capable of producing 1,280 hp on pump gas or 1,600 hp on E85. Coupled with the engine is Koenigsegg’s clever 9-speed multi-clutch transmission driving the rear wheels.
