Electric Fiat 500: production halved in the first quarter of 2024


Always at the center of Italian motoring news, the current situation at the Stellantis Mirafiori factory in Turin is intriguing and yet worrying. According to the latest analysis by Fim Cisl, the Italian conglomerate, production at this plant has fallen significantly, indicating a decrease of 51% compared to the previous year. At a recent meeting on the automotive sector called by the government, Stellantis executives confirmed the strategic importance of the Mirafiori plant. However, despite this realization, no new car models are planned to be released for production in Turin. Stellantis indicated during this meeting that it was “studying a procedure that will make the electricity 500 cheaper, so that it can also produce more”.
