Delf Schmidt has been working in the automotive industry for almost twenty years. After several management positions in car companies and car dealerships, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Genesis Motor Germany at the beginning of the year. A year later he should be the CEO managing the German business of the Hyundai subsidiary. He succeeds Benjamin Winkler, who is leaving the company.
Schmidt has extensive expertise in marketing, customer management and automotive dealership management. At his various employers, he was responsible, among other things, for the management of large vehicle fleets, brand and territory development as well as the optimization and strategic management of sales promotion and sales processes.
“The coming months and years will be very exciting because we have big plans”, comments to the 47-year-old about his start as Managing Director of Genesis Motor Germany. The South Korean premium manufacturer is currently in a turbulent phase: eight models were launched in less than 14 months. In addition to the studio in Munich, the opening of another location in Frankfurt am Main is also planned.
