A successful light show EONARIUM presents a gift: GENESIS II will return to the Church of St. Mark’s in Munich from January 12th.

The GENESIS I light show celebrated its premiere in Munich last winter with thousands of visitors. The street fair project will be held from January 12 to March 12 “EONARIUM PRESENTS: GENESIS II” now again in Saint Mark’s Church and tells a musically enhanced story about days four through seven of Genesis. For a total of 53 exhibition days, including several days with performances accompanied by live music from dynamic musicians, the approximately 30-minute light and video installation transforms the ceiling and walls of the altar and church into a large symbolic animation . The audience is not just a spectator from the outside, but, resting on bean bags or chairs, is actually in the middle of the action of this multimedia work of art made up of images and sounds.

With a variety of musical accompaniment, GENESIS II now sends the planets, sea creatures, reptiles, insects and birds through the center and tells the story of the creation of the world to the incarnation and the last day, which should serve as a place of rest.

In addition to telling the story of Genesis in a creative way, the illumination also offers a unique opportunity to experience St. Mark’s Church itself in a different way. “Immersion” means to immerse oneself, to go deeper, to surrender – and that is the declared goal of this art form. He wants to invite the viewer to engage in something new. The principle of using advanced technology to describe the past and the present, real and fictional, is complex and time-consuming to implement: Thanks to the 3D map projection system, content such as graphics, animations, photos or videos can be displayed on objects of three sides.
