American hypercar that crunches Ferraris and Lamborghinis for breakfast

Czinger, a small American manufacturer, has published the first pictures of its car in its recent history: 21 C “El Mirage”. According to Lukas Czinger, its designer, the car finds its inspiration in military aviation.

Czinger has an unusual fate. Founded in 2019 by Kevin Czinger, the American company wants to sell a car that would compete with hypercars the fastest in the world, while being made in 3D. A kind of crazy story, seen again and again in the history of cars, but which sometimes leads to the initial success of the end.

Czinger 21C is the world’s first car designed by humans and AI and printed in 3D. A real technological feat for such a small manufacturer. His first article was supposed to be released in 2020, but the tragedy decided otherwise. The 21C project is being put back in the garage for a while, until it is relaunched in 2022. Two years later, Czinger 21C returned again under a new advertising: ” Mirage ».

Red and White, go (very) fast

Advertising Mirage » draws its external inspiration from military aviation. Its white fabric hides a few touches of red, it should remind ” after the fire of the fighter plane “. That’s it! The vermilion color covers the carbon fiber curves, the glass covers and the rear wing.

The car looks as if it has slid down, thanks to its high aerodynamics: front blade, flat bottom, side air intakes, adjustable carbon fiber rear spoiler. It depends on the car 20-inch center locking rims. At the back, a single LED strip illuminates two central exhausts. Compelling air extractor helps to pin the car to the ground.

No interior photos have been released yet. As a reminder, the standard 21C cockpit is in the middle position of 1+1, with the pilot in front of the passengers. You will have to restrain yourself outside and according to the manufacturer, this machine works very hard!

Over 1,200 hp and a great ride at Laguna Seca

Mechanical development continued inside, with the presence of a powerful engine V8 2.9 biturboassociated with 4 electric motors. With such mechanical equipment, the whole develops the stratospheric power of 1,250 hp at more than 11,000 rpm. It can go up to 1,350 hp at the request of its driver! Therefore, Czinger 21C announces amazing statistics: 0 to 100 km / h in 1.9 s and 408 km / h top speed!

To prove that this hullabaloo is nothing but nonsense, Czinger took his spinning beast for a spin at Laguna Seca. 21C signed a duration of 1’25”44 on the California track, which demotes McLaren Senna by more than 2 seconds back!

80 copies only

After such communication, Czinger must buy this real rocket. In fact, the American company plans to manufacture 80 copies. On the other hand, its price has not yet been made public.

The range consists of two other models: the Long Tail version, capable of exceeding a top speed of 430 km/h, or the Blackbird, inspired by an unknown fighter jet, the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird.
