Vezza crash: Police arrest Audi driver for vehicular manslaughter

VEZZA D’ALBA – The end of the investigation following a fatal road accident that occurred yesterday afternoon, April 17, in Vezza d’Alba, Val Rubiagno region, which caused the death of two German tourists aged 35 and 32, the driver of an Audi A5 on. the board in which the victims were traveling, was arrested for aggravated vehicular homicide by the Carabinieri of the Alba Company.

The thirty-six-year-old driver, who was traveling at high speed along the regional road 287, failed to control the car number 20 in the previously mentioned area of ​​Val Rubiagno, following the results of the laboratory investigation carried out in the fields of Michele and Pietro. Ferrero Hospital in Verduno was found to have a blood alcohol level of 1.7 grams per liter, more than three times the legal limit.

In addition to the driver and the two victims, a second man was traveling in the car, who is also thirty-six years old and a resident of Germany, who is still hospitalized with a preserved illness at the Santa Croce e Carle hospital in Cuneo. he was transported to the ambulance yesterday afternoon.

The driver is being guarded at the Verduno hospital, under the Office of the Public Prosecutor at the Court of Asti which is coordinating the investigation.
