On April 10, Alfa Romeo unveiled its new entry-level model, the Milano urban SUV. With its equal size of 4.20 m, it takes place under Tonale. As for Alfasud, the production of the “33” reached one million units with 866,958 sedans and 122,366 station wagons sold.

A change to the official replacement register, the Alfa Romeo 145 (type 930) which adopted an original appearance inspired by that of the shooting brake with rear compass windows. With a more impressive size of 4.10 m, this three-door sedan was supplemented by a 4-door trunk variant, the Alfa Romeo 146 (4.26 m). The sportiest variants, the Twin Spark Quadrifoglio with a 2.0-liter engine produced 155 hp.

Then it was the turn of the Alfa Romeo 147 (4.22 m), masterfully designed by Walter de Silva, to take on the role of a compact sedan between 2000 and 2010 and facelifted in 2004. The Alfa Romeo 147 was available in 3 and 5 door versions. As a highlight, the Alfa 147 GTA had a 3.2-liter Busso V6 engine with 250 hp.
