A model of electricity for the whole family

A model of electricity for the whole family

Illustrated by the concept, the Jeep Wagoneer S will be the brand’s first model to be offered in an electric-only model. Here is our first news.

Jeep recently launched into electric vehicles. Indeed, thanks to the cooperation of the car giant Stellantis, the American company introduced the Avenger. A small 100% electric SUV that was finally available in a hot version, just to help launch sales.

But as reflected in the brand’s ambitious electrification plan, a second “zero-emission” model will bolster Jeep’s offering. The Wagoneer S. But this will not justify the temperature difference. He, the electric fairy will be his only means of propulsion.

This is a more impressively sized SUV than the Avenger we’ve known for a while now. It will be officially presented in a few weeks, then go on sale from the summer of 2024.

Initially in the United States, before arriving in other markets and Europe immediately, definitely at the beginning of 2025. In fact, Jeep has just teased its imminent arrival via the first teaser unveiled today.

Check out the Jeep range

Thanks to the first teaser of this launch campaign, we’ve spotted a super-bright grill. We get seven vertical bars, which gives us a very close look at the concept that gave us the first image of this Wagoneer S in 2022. For the rest, even if we squint, we had trouble showing ourselves and knowing what it is about.

In fact, this first teaser is still amazing. But there is no doubt that it should be as close to the idea as its presence suggests. So we expect to discover a muscular silhouette, large wheels placed in very strong wheel arches and a light strip at the back to give it a modern signature of lights.

Electricity and electricity only?

For this; for this the first model offered only in 100% electric, we are already talking about 600 horsepower. To get there, Jeep has to deliver Wagoneer S two electric motors. One at the front, one at the back to ensure all-wheel drive. No, there is no question of sacrificing the off-road capabilities of a real Jeep.

The result, therefore having an engine, a completely new model should show 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. This is the same benchmark as the last generation Audi RS6 Avant, before it was released in a sportier version. Not too bad for a hatchback like the Wagoneer S?

To know more, however, you will have to wait for its official presentation. OK for the price, but don’t expect the most competitive prices…
