Auto Tech with the best time in the ADAC GT Masters / ADAC GT Masters test

Preparations complete: At the official ADAC GT Masters pre-season test at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg, the teams took the opportunity to prepare as well as possible for the season opener at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben (April 26 to 28). In dry conditions on both days, the drivers completed many kilometers of testing on the 4.574 km long track. A total of six teams from six different manufacturers participated. The two returning Swiss from Fach Auto Tech and Emil Frey Racing were particularly successful, setting the two fastest times on Wednesday.

The fastest time of the entire test was set by Swiss Alexander Fach at 1:37.842 minutes, who is racing with his teammate Alexander Schwarzer (D) in a Porsche 911 GT3 R for the Fach Auto Tech team. “The test was very important for us. The main thing was to know the best car and improve the processes. In the end I felt very good in the car and I posted a good time. We will have to fix a few things before the season starts so that we can fully attack Oschersleben,” said Fach, looking satisfied.

Jean-Luc D’Auria and Alain Valente (Emil Frey Racing) put the Ferrari 296 GT3 in second place with a time of 1:38.407. The Swiss duo were already in good form on Tuesday and moved to the top of the time table. The duo of Jannes Fittje (Langenhain) and Finn Wiebelhaus (Obertshausen) from the Haupt Racing Team completed the top three with a lap time of 1:38.461 minutes.

In his first outing in the ADAC GT Masters, David Schumacher (Salzburg) impressed with a satisfactory performance in the Haupt Racing Team’s Mercedes-AMG GT3. Together with defending champion Salman Owega (Cologne), he had the second fastest lap in the second and third periods. “We worked a lot with the tires for two days and tested different configurations. In the first race weekend in Oschersleben, we want to be at the front straight away to lay the foundation for a successful season,” reported Schumacher.

The new season in the ADAC GT Masters starts the last weekend in April in Magdeburger Börde. The start at Oschersleben is the first of four events in which the popular GT3 series competes as part of the DTM. SPORT1 broadcasts all ADAC GT Masters races live on German TV for free.
