Mercedes-Benz: another six million euros by 2026 for children and families in Ukraine


Mercedes-Benz continues its commitment to the victims of the war in Ukraine: no the next three years, the company will donate a total of six million euros to ‘SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit’ for the ‘Rebuilding Hope’ project. For this plan, the company has already allocated two million euros from 2022. In addition to the creation of a reception center, medical assistance and the distribution of hygiene items and food, the plan focuses on psychological support for injuries. The goal is to reduce the serious effects of war on children, young people and families in the regions near Bukha and Kiev. Support includes special education programs and the creation of child-friendly spaces.

With the financial support of Mercedes-Benz, ‘SOS-Kinderdörfer weltweit’ has so far helped more than 2,300 families and more than 3,800 children and young people. Thanks to the use of mobile teams, dedicated experts can provide valuable assistance even in hard-to-reach areas. With this new donation pledge, the organization plans to significantly expand its on-the-ground support and reaching at least 48,000 affected people in the surrounding regions of Bucha, Kyiv, Fastiv and Chernihiv by 2026.
