A beautiful gift, of the ‘traditional palms of the peninsula of Sorrento’ presented by the V class students of the course ‘Health and Social Assistance’ of the Enzo Ferrari Institute’ of Castellammare di Stabia for the homeless of the Vatican , a gift which was received with great gratitude by the Pope who sent a letter of thanks to the author Anna Maria Gargiulo, the creator of the plan. Daisy-shaped palm trees, made by the students using yellow and white sugar almonds (Vatican colors) and placing a statue of Pope Francis in the middle, which the students presented as a tribute they did last March 23, when they left. at the ‘Santa Maria della Misericordia’ Hospital in Sorrento, accompanied by the Principal of the Institute, Dr. Giovanna Izzo, together with the teachers of the profession, to send palms to the patients of the hospital, after receiving a loving reception from the Director of Medicine, Dr. . Mauro Muto, Medical Director of the Department of Medicine, Dr. Elvira Giaquinto, and all the social and health workers of the Hospital.
In a letter sent by the Holy Father through the Secretariat of the Vatican State, Pope Francis expressed his gratitude for the gesture of love, asking for the protection of the Virgin Mary and giving his Apostolic Blessings to the entire school community of the Institute.
