According to media reports, Chery Automobile is planning to produce cars soon in Spain. Chery is not an unknown name in Saarland – according to SR news, the Chinese manufacturer was a major investor who was interested in the Saarlouis Ford factory.

Chinese carmaker Chery will also build cars in Spain in the future. Various media reports, production is scheduled to begin this year.
According to SR news, Chery was also in talks to take over the Ford plant in Saarlouis.. However, no agreement was reached, although the state government had promised all the parties involved necessary measures of support.
Production in Barcelona
In Spain, a disused car factory in Barcelona will be revived for production. About 3,000 workers had made Nissan vehicles by 2021. Since then, the search for an investor has been ongoing.
