He was calmly traveling in his own lane when he was suddenly hit head-on by a car coming from the opposite direction. A 36-year-old man, his initials SP, died instantly in a road accident that happened around 10 pm yesterday, Friday 12 April. The accident happened along the regional road Sp 572 Desenzano-Salò, in the area of ​​Padenghe, near the Cherubini block.

The course of events can only be confirmed after the results of the investigation carried out in the evening by the police officers of the Valtenesi and Desenzano del Garda Polstrada. It seems that the victim was traveling towards Moniga when he was suddenly hit by a BMW driven by a 28-year-old man from Pralboino, in Lower Bresciana, while passing.

The result of the collision was very bad: the victim’s scooter was smashed and the front of the BMW, the 36-year-old from Salò died instantly. Volunteer firefighters of the Desenzano squad, an ambulance from the Gavardo hospital, an ambulance from the Garda Volunteers and an air ambulance that took over from the Spedali Civili Brescia arrived at the site. However, the arrival of the helicopter was of no use, as the 36-year-old died on the spot.

According to the testimony of some witnesses, the second car may have been involved, but it did not stop following the accident. The driver of the BMW was subject to a mandatory ritual analysis, alcohol and drug tests. Results will come today. Meanwhile, the 28-year-old’s license was revoked and the BMW impounded.
