Head-on collision Saturday morning leaves two people seriously injured in Lenexa

Two persons were gravely hurt in a head-on crash in Lenexa early Saturday morning, according to local authorities.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., the Lenexa Police Department was called to the scene of a collision on 87th Street between Lackman Road and Monticello Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered two individuals had been critically injured in the crash.

The Lenexa Fire Department was also dispatched to the scene and transported both victims to a nearby hospital. Their current conditions have not been released, though both are believed to be in serious condition.
