Applied Intuition and Audi partner to create a single offering of AD and lifecycle management solutions

MOUNTAIN VIEW, California and MUNICH, April 24, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — Applied Intuition, Inc.Silicon Valley automotive software provider, and AUDI AG, the German automaker, are collaborating to create a unified solution enabling the development, verification, type approval, and deployment of automated driving (AD) systems for the Audi Group at the vehicle level. This joint solution will set a new benchmark for fast, robust and cost-effective authentication and launch of industry-leading AD functionality and security in the extended Operations Design Domain (ODD). It is independent, scalable and can be used in different AD stacks within the Audi Group.

The increased complexity of AD components, as well as different tools, can lead to a slow and expensive development process. The partnership between Applied Intuition and Audi solves this problem by extending Applied Intuition’s market-leading end-to-end data management and simulation solutions into custom software developed jointly by the two companies. The resulting integrated system leverages Audi’s experience in environment-based systems engineering and Applied Intuition’s expertise in software engineering to create a unique offering with an AD lifecycle management solution that meets current and future regulatory requirements. Other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) may use this system in the future.
