Reborn 2024 Buick Regal GS Turbo Morphs 2024 Look Into High-End Restoration Sedan

Buick, a General Motors brand since 1908 (it helped found GM), is one of the oldest automotive brands in the world, and is the oldest American automaker still in operation today. So, it’s no surprise that it has a cult following – even though some of its glory days are behind it.

To be precise, in America, it abandoned passenger cars completely and now sells only four crossovers SUV nameplates – Envista, Encore GX, Envision, and Enclave. Obviously, that’s not exactly what traditional fans are aiming for. The most loyal don’t leave a mark, either; they’re just thinking of clever ways to get the company back to its roots – even if only literally.

For example, Jim, a virtual artist known as sir 8 on social media, he likes to obsess over all things CGI from General Motors, old and new – or even in between: the “beautiful Monte Carlo” SS G-Body Buick Regal Turbo, the ‘Astro Overland’ based Chevy Colorado ZR2. with SUV looks and sliding back doors (!), or a Buick 3800 pickup truck, among many others.

However, since he owns a 1986 T-Buick Regal and a 2001 Ford F-150 SVT Electric, it’s only natural that he has a soft spot for the former, too. So, just recently, he started pretending that Buick didn’t give up on passenger cars in general and sedans in particular, so he dropped in his ‘magination land’ the Envision CUV turned into a fast Buick Regal GS sedan.

The changes, as far as we can see from the quick video, were quick and ‘painless’ for the Envision – the ride height dropped to sedan levels, the lower part of the bumper was cut in half, and now there is only one big one. the front air intake which also serves as the car’s radiator grille, the wheels are bigger, and the brakes behind them are equipped with red calipers. At the same time, the side profile was changed to sport a straight belt line and a sloping roof towards the rear.

Obviously, there are many GM enthusiasts who share his frustration that the company’s corner office bosses have largely abandoned passenger cars in general and sedans in particular. They would like to see this design implemented in the real world. They think it’s better than “the flood of crossovers and baby SUVs” and that this fast sedan with a twin-turbo V6 under the hood will be a very popular model for Buick.

Unfortunately, it’s just wishful thinking, and we’re ‘stuck’ with the 2024 Buick Envision, which hits the market refreshed later this summer with new styling, an upgraded interior and a new 30-inch display, standard extras. – and all for a starting MSRP of $37,295.
