Bijman and Sarasino for Freudenberg in the IDM 300 / IDM Supersport 300

With Ruben Bijman from the Netherlands and Fabio Sarasino, the Freudenberg KTM-Paligio Racing team expands to a total of four nations. The IDM Supersport 300 team is now complete.

With the announcement of two talented pilots, the team will further strengthen its international presence. The new players of the team are Ruben Bijman from the Netherlands and Fabio Sarasino from Switzerland. Bijman, who is already racing in the World Championship this year, brings a wealth of experience to the brand. For Sarasino it is a great opportunity to take the next step in his career.

In addition to the two new additions, Phillip Tonn from Germany and Oliver Svendsen from Denmark will also compete for the team from Saxony, which participates in the IDM and the World Cup. With this different layer, the team follows clear goals that should move the team forward. The aim continues to be the development of young talent in motorsport as well as the technical development of the KTM package. The team also wants to develop further and face the exciting challenge of working with drivers from four countries while keeping the IDM name in mind.

Meanwhile, Dutchman Jeffrey Buis is participating in the world championships to defend his title in the smallest division. “1999 was our first IDM season, and now we’re entering our 25th year,” says team boss Carsten Freudenberg. “We have a lot of friendships and are proud to be part of the IDM family. We definitely support IDM and we would like to send a positive signal with four drivers in the Supersport 300 class.”

“I am very happy that I can compete in Freudenberg,” assures Ruben Bijman. “The team is very professional and has a very strong motorcycle. They have proven their ability again and again in the IDM and the World Cup in recent years, so our one goal is to fight for the title. It is a great opportunity for me to develop my skills along with the Cup of the World and I am very grateful to Carsten and the team for this opportunity.”

“It’s still a little surreal for me that in four weeks I will be able to race for a team as professional as the Freudenberg team,” explains Sarasino. “I am very grateful for this opportunity and I will do everything I can to make the most of it! My goal is to finish the series in the top 10. We will try again at the end of April to prepare well for the season. Many thanks to the whole Freudenberg team and my sponsors, especially to Xania Real Estate, for giving me this opportunity.”
“With the signing of Ruben and Fabio, our team is complete,” concludes Freudenberg. “I am very happy that we have both drivers on board. Fabio is aiming for the next step in IDM, and we will support him with all our strength. Ruben, on the other hand, has the ability to be an important voice in the fight for the championship title. Together with Phillip Tonn and Oliver Svendsen we are in a good position for the new IDM season. In this context, I would like to thank all the mechanics and assistants in the team, without you none of this would be possible. And of course many thanks to all partners and sponsors who support us in our work and talents of youth! We are ready to run for 2024.”
