The Cupra Born VZ is a pure hatchback hatchback

Cupra Born, the first electric model in the range of the Spanish manufacturer, received a new version – VZ. From the outside, the car can be recognized by the new rims, 20-inch aluminum and wide tires. The “CUPRA” lettering in dark chrome and the “VZ” badge on the trunk lid also remind us which version we’re dealing with. Customers will be able to choose one of two paint colors that were created especially for this version – Dark Forest and Midnight Black.

Inside, buyers will be able to count on CUP Bucket seats, which are covered with a special recycled fabric. The changes are also applied to the multimedia screen. In the Born VZ it is 12.9 inches, which is 0.9 inches larger than that found in the standard version of the model. Music lovers will also be able to optionally choose a 10-speaker sound system with a power of 425 watts, developed by Senheiser. In addition, when buying a Born, you will also be able to choose a version with a sunroof.

The most important change, however, concerns the car. The new version of Born produces 326 HP and 545 Nm of torque, all of which goes (as in weaker versions) to the rear wheels. The car accelerates to 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds. The maximum speed has increased to 40 km / h. A native of VZ can go 200 km / h. Cupra engineers also took care of the battery. Its net capacity increased by 2 kWh, to 79 kWh. The manufacturer declares that the model can travel up to 570 kilometers on a single charge. With direct current battery charging with a power of 170 kW, the energy is increased to 80%. it will only take 30 minutes.

Designers also took care of the dynamics of the car. They maintained the wheel geometry of the DCC suspension and improved the brake pedal pressure conditions. Additionally, the car is equipped with a responsive operating system. Cupra announces that the suspension of the Borna VZ is stiffer compared to the regular version.

The manufacturer announces that the Cupra Born VZ will appear on the market in the third quarter of 2024. It is not known whether the car will be produced in Poland.
