The Honda CR500 is an icon in motocross. At Honda in Japan they no longer lose sleep over big two-strokes, but the CR500 gained cult status when the conversion to four-stroke technology was made and remains the subject of many projects. In Italy, Tomasin R&D is turning the CR500 into a crossover with an injection and motor starter and building power into the frame of the 2024 CRF version.

Tomasin changed the 4-stroke injection system to a 2-stroke injection by replacing the control unit, a real improvement to date to ensure world-class performance and usability. The system uses premix gasoline.
