A few months ago Acura presented the ZDX, the brand’s first electric truck and now it’s the turn of its cousin, the Honda Prologue. Earlier, the Japanese brand had previewed several sketches of this truck, but now, it has been fully presented.

He Honda Prelude is the result of a partnership between General Motors and Hondawhere the Ultium platform is used but with the handling characteristics, materials and design typical of a Japanese house.

To accelerate the path to electric cars, they decided to take help from GM, and this is how the Honda Prologue was born. This truck is above the CR-V but below the Pilot, in terms of size. Its design has certain skills with respect to other frequencies.

Inside there is also a family environment. Honda, since the Prelude dashboard has horizontal lines with a continuous flow of air conditioning. Hand in hand is a 113-inch screen with Google’s operating system and an 11-inch instrument panel.

Mechanically, there will be two options for Honda Preludeone with a single electric motor in the front whose power output has not been revealed, or an AWD with two electric motors with 288 horsepower, 333 lb-ft of torque and an estimated range of 300 miles.

Single engine versions will be announced once the Honda Prologue goes on sale in the US, although with two motors it is possible to charge 105 km in 10 minutes if the 150 kW chargers are used.

At the moment, we don’t know if Honda of Mexico has in mind to merge Preface for the national product portfolio, but in doing so, it would also offer its first electric vehicle across North America. In the USA, the first delivery will take place in 2024, so it will be in the coming months when we will know more information about Honda Prelude in Mexico.
