This is the second member of the growing IONIQ family of electric vehicles. The new IONIQ 6 will have to face, among other models, the Tesla Model 3. To distinguish it from the competition, Hyundai has chosen an unusual design.

The new Hyundai IONIQ 6 model
First of all, with the equipment or the number of trim levels available, the most important is the electric propulsion system. The new IONIQ 6 will arrive at Spanish dealers with three powertrains.
The basic version has an engine that develops 111 kW (151 hp) and 350 Nm of maximum torque. It comes with a 53 kWh battery. It has a rear-wheel drive configuration and a range of 429 km according to the WLTP cycle.
The middle option is more interesting. It also has one engine on the rear axle, however, it reaches 168 kW (228 hp) and 350 Nm. It is paired with a 77.4 kWh battery and claims a range of 614 km.
However, the high-performance alternative is a power train consisting of two engines, one per axle, with a combined output of 239 kW (325 hp). It also has a 77.4 kWh battery, but in this case the range is reduced to 519 km. With an engine on each axle, it has four-wheel drive. All electric vehicles allow a maximum electric speed of 185 km/h (185 mph).
