Founded in 2021, Hyundai Staria it was immediately surprising how it suggested an attractive design solution among MPVs. Markets, then, were reduced to a number of markets. now, The Staria arrives in the Italian market, with a 2.2 liter turbodiesel engine 177 horsepower, front-wheel drive or four-wheel drive and manual or automatic gearbox.
It does so by proposing two versions, differing primarily in the availability of seats on board. Hyundai Staria 7 luxury seats is the top of the range proposition, an alternative to the nine-seater Staria Wagon.
Flag dimensions, van shapes
Both feature a three-row cockpit, both sharing the dimensions of a useful utility vehicle. It is 5.25 meters tallwith a wheelbase of 3.27 meters.
This is enough to indicate a very high internal presence. In length, as in width, it measures 1.99 meters.
As dictated by the vehicle type, the rear doors slide and provide access to the second and third row seats. A distinctive feature of the Hyundai Staria Luxury is the possibility of electric adjustment of the seats in the second row. There are only two instead of three and they provide maximum comfort and relaxation. To enable it, the rear seats recline and reduce the pressure from the passengers’ bodies.
The folding of the backrests is also automatic, electronic, as is the longitudinal sliding to change the space available for the third row of seats.
Technological devices
Among the standard equipment, the Luxury version differs from the 9-seater Wagon by a 10.25-inch infotainment instead of an 8″, beside the 10.25-inch instrument panel (standard for both levels).
It can depend on atechnical layout of the Staria “car” mold, thanks to the multilink rear suspension. The same goes for the Adas systems, including adaptive cruise control (for stop & go in engines with automatic gearboxes), centering and anti-collision devices, even while driving.
Usage and price
Undoubtedly, the design is one of the hallmarks of the Hyundai MPV (here you can find models on the market used), made up of linear surfaces, divides the headlights between closed LED daytime running lights and main diffusers at the ends of the grille, at the front. The style theme was introduced in 2021 with the Staria and gradually extended to other Hyundai models.
The space available in the trunk is very large, starting at 831 liters when the third row of seats is folded down. As for consumption, the 177-horsepower 2.2-liter diesel advertises between 7.8 and 8.4 l/100 km, the value of the two-wheel version with manual gearbox and the four-wheel version with automatic gearbox respectively. Prices start at 43,000 euros in Italy for the Hyundai Stara Wagonfrom 58,500 euros Luxury version.
