It’s the turn of the Cupra Born to sell its prices: the current deal?

The Volkswagen Group continues to reduce the prices of its electric devices: after the ID.3 or ID.4, it is the turn of the Cupra Born.

The sales period continues within the Volkswagen group, which is now focusing on the Cupra. The Iberian brand is reviewing the Born range this February and, therefore, a great gift for French customers who will have to take a step back: price cuts have increased in recent weeks (VW, Toyota, MG, etc.) and not all designs are eligible for bonuses. So it becomes very difficult to make your choice if we only consider the criteria of freedom and quality/price.

The most attractive Cupra was born

The freedom/price ratio is competitive for this Native© Cupra

Therefore, price drop is very importante exceeds €4,000 on the entry-level “L” version with its 58 kWh battery, and exceeds €6,000 on the top model.. A 230 hp engine is now installed on all battery levels.

  • CUPRA Born 230ch Battery L 58kWh (422km autonomy WLTP) : €39,090
  • CUPRA Born 230ch XL 77kWh battery (550km WLTP range): €39,990

But, and this is an interesting choice on Cupra’s part, the difference is only €900! Who then will choose a small battery with a small price difference, when the Cupra Born L offers a range of 130 km less…

Standard equipment of the Cupra Born:

  • Bucket seats
  • 19” rim
  • 12” central screen
  • Full LED front and rear lights
  • Tinted rear window
  • It pulls back the camera

The criterion to consider is that the Cupra Born benefits from a bonus in 2024, i.e. €4,000 less. Which brings the entry level MG4 which has less freedom and less equipment. War is like that relaunched against models such as the Renault Mégane E-Tech (from €30,000, bonus deducted) or the Toyota bZ4X (€34,900 bonus deducted). Obviously, the compact electric segment is starting to cool down and get closer – a little – to the average budget of drivers in the new market. This price adjustment could, however, hurt cars like the Peugeot e-208, which is more compact, less autonomous, and still less expensive.
