Jeep Wrangler 2024: more expensive, but with more options

Unveiled at the New York Auto Show in April last year, the Jeep Wrangler 2024 improved and slightly redesigned has been on sale recently and we can tell you more about its prices.

Let’s start at the bottom of the range, where the Wrangler Sport with a 285-horsepower V6 engine now costs $47,415 (all costs included) in the two-door model. This is an increase of $3,625 compared to the 2023. In the four-door model, the base price rises to $52,415. The increase is not obvious, as Jeep has added a new Sport trim below the Sport S for 2024.

At the other end of the scale, the 470-horsepower Wrangler Rubicon 392 now costs $120,415, representing a jump of $8,275. This is definitely the last year you’ll be able to buy a Wrangler with a V8, however. As for the Wrangler 4xe with plug-in hybrid engine, which produces 375 horsepower and allows you to drive 35 kilometers without burning gasoline, the number of versions available increases from three to six (two of them are eligible for a total subsidy of $ 7,500) and the price of base is $62,190.

Note that the 2024 Wrangler sports a new grille designed for the 2023 20th anniversary model and new rims. On Rubicon versions, the Dana 44 fully floating rear axle allows you to fit Jeep-supplied 35-inch tires or dealer-purchased 40-inch tires, to improve the vehicle’s off-road handling as well as towing. An 8,000-pound capacity Warning Winch is optional.

Manual transmission fans, rejoice: the Wrangler’s six-speed transmission remains in the program. You can get it with a V6 or a turbocharged four-cylinder. The Wrangler 4xe and Rubicon 392, meanwhile, are equipped with an exclusive eight-speed automatic transmission.

Finally, we must highlight a major improvement in the cabin, namely the new 12.3-inch touchscreen with the Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which is five times faster than the previous one. In addition to allowing wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the simultaneous connection of two Bluetooth devices, this system can receive software updates remotely. Let’s not forget the addition of standard side curtain airbags.
