The 45th edition of the Baie-des-Chaleurs International Rally takes place from June 30 to July 2. A traditional event in the Canadian Rally Championship, the BDC is also the only Canadian round on the FIA NACAM North American series calendar, which allows to attract year after year 4 to 5 Mexican workers who compete in this championship.
These days, 36 employees have already confirmed their participation, including the 2022 winners (Mexicans Ricardo Cordero and Marco Hernandez in Citroën C3 R5), Quebec’s favorite Joël Levac (winner of the 2016-19-21 and Mini WRC editions) and the reigning Canadian champions , Jérôme. Mailloux and Philippe Poirier (Subaru WRX STI of the Test Racing team).
This 2023 edition will also celebrate the first meeting of André and René Leblanc in Quebec with their new purchase, the Ford Fiesta R2. Forced to retire from last weekend’s Rocky Mountain Rally, the Leblanc brothers will be eager to reunite with the outfielders in the 2WD class which should have ten entries.
