2025 Polestar 4 debuts in North America

• The Polestar 4, presented yesterday at the New York Auto Show, will have a starting price of $64,900 in Canada.

New York, New York – A new player is being added to the Polestar family this year. The 2025 Polestar 4 is a small SUV whose mission will be to compete with products like the Tesla Model Y.

As the EV made its North American debut at the New York Auto Show yesterday, the company revealed the price range that will be in effect in the US and Canada. The base version will start at $64,900 here, which will allow it to qualify for the government rebate. The range of this variant is advertised at 300 miles, or 483 kilometers.

In this case, we are talking about a single-engine model that offers a rear-wheel drive configuration. This version will provide 272 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque, which will allow you to go from 0 to 97 km / h in 7.4 seconds. It is slow considering the declared power, which makes us believe that the model is not light.

By switching to the two-engine variant, you of course benefit from all-wheel drive, but most of all, from the increased power, namely 544 horsepower and 506 lb-ft of torque. The reference acceleration time increases to 3.7 seconds, still with the same measurement.

The range will be slightly less at 270 miles, or 435 km. The Canadian price for this version is $74,900.

At the top of the hierarchy, we get another version with two engines, but benefit from the included performance packages. The bill will be $87,500.

On board, we will find a 15.4-inch multimedia screen that is specific to work with integrated Google and Android Auto systems. In front of the driver, the instrument cluster screen will be 10.2 inches.

The main feature of this model is of course the absence of a rear window, a very strange decision. This means that drivers will have to rely on the image taken by the rear camera, which will be broadcast internally.

Canadian customers will be able to order the Polestar 4 from the end of April. The first delivery is expected in late 2024.
